Two Years and Counting, Nour El-Sherbini Ranked World’s Number One Squash Player

While our hearts were broken watching the World Cup, we just managed to find another reason to celebrate our national athletes at the Mediterranean Games. Today is just another day where another Egyptian super woman takes things in charge and rule the world.

Nour El-Sherbini, 22-year-old Squash champion, has been ranked World No.1 for the 26th month after topping an unchanged top 20 in the PSA Women’s World Rankings. This makes the Egyptian athlete the fifth longest-serving World No.1 in the history of the game.

The top three ranked players in the PSA World Tour Ranking are Egyptian superheroes: Nour El-Sherbini, Raneem El-Welily, and Nour El-Tayeb. Nouran Gohar stays at No.6.
