Traveling to Sahel Has Never Been Easier Thanks to Careem

Summer is here, and Sahel, once again, is the destination to go. The northern coast of the Mediterranian has become the party capital of Egypt with an insane lineup from Russ and Shorelines to the upcoming Solomun concert. Even if you are not into the clubbing scene, Sahel has so much more to offer, with pristine beaches, crystal waters, and caressing sun rays. It has something for everyone, and now, Careem has made getting there so much easier.

A year ago, the ride-hailing app Careem has launched its bus service, bringing comfort to everyday commuters and travelers at incredibly competitive prices. The easy-to-use service quickly kicked off and is used by thousands of Egyptians in their daily transportation.

Today, Careem Bus is offering travelers the chance to get to Sahel comfortably this summer at very low rates. For instance, a ride from Cairo to Marina costs only around EGP 120! Buses move every Thursday from the Emirates Embassy in Heliopolis, with stops in Lebanon Square in Mohandessin and Sidi Kerir in Alexandria. Subsequently, the return trip back to these locations cost exactly the same, with the buses moving every Saturday from Marina.

If you prefer your own private car, that is completely understandable. The Careem app offers various car rides at specific rates for those who prefer to travel with just a little bit more luxury and exclusivity. In fact, you can order an SUV from Cairo to Sahel from around EGP 1,350 to EGP 1,450. On the other hand, if you are traveling from Alexandria, the same car ride will set you back between EGP 340 and EGP 650. Instead of driving and spending so much on gas, you can book a car on your own, or with a group of no more than four friends.

What’s a ride-hailing app without its much-loved promo codes? Careem has one for each city: “YALLASA7EL” for Cairo that gives discounts of up to EGP 150, and “YALLA3ALSA7EL” for Alexandria with discounts of up to EGP 100.

While in Sahel, you will also find the regular Careem GO cars to take you anywhere along the North Coast. For this, you can use the promo code “SAHEL50” to give you a 50 percent discount on your trips up to EGP 50 on 5 trips.

If you’re not a Sahel person, and for example, you would like to travel to Alexandria, Careem has got you covered as well. Instead of the time-consuming, distressing superjets, now, you can go to Alexandria with the same level of comfort Careem is well-known for. The first pickup point is at the Emirates Embassy with a stop in Lebanon Square, and the dropoff is at Alexandria’s San Stefano. The line operates on both Saturdays and Thursdays, and the price is a whoppingly low EGP 90!

So what are you waiting for? Next time you’re planning a trip to Sahel or Alexandria, download the Careem app for a better, more comfortable experience.
