This Egyptian Artist Was Just Picked by Alicia Keys to Win the first TDC20 Grant!

Last month we featured, in our daily dose of art, one very talented visual artist for her stunning solo exhibition in Zamalek, Moments. This month, we’ll have to feature Hana El-Sagini again for another extraordinary achievement. She was just chosen among 20 artists to win a grant from The Dean Collection!

International Music Icon Alicia Keys, and her Husband Producer, Rapper, and Art Collector Swizz Beatz created “The Dean Collection” to support artists and cultural visionaries around the globe. In the first TDC20, they’re giving out $100k in grants to 20 creative artists from around the world. Each will receive $5k, and four of them will receive an additional $25k based on what they do with the grant money.

The power couple announced the winners and captioned it by stating “Last month, we asked all the creatives worldwide to send in their creative work and business plan to see how they would use the $5K to further their career. The response was amazing and made it extremely difficult to pick the first #TDC20 winners, out of more than 5,000 entries. The world is ready for more and we will be bringing more opportunities like this. This is just the beginning.”

Beatz announced that next TDC grant will be given out to 40 artists instead of 20!

WE SAID THIS: We’re super proud of you, Hana!
