Sources: Heba Magdy’s Announcement Might Cost Her a Role on Netflix’s Paranormal

The entire region is anticipating the first Egyptian Netflix original series, especially after the huge buzz that followed the first Arab Netflix Original Series, Jinn. Netflix MENA announced that the first Egyptian Netflix Original will be called Paranormal, adapted from the famous book series by iconic late writer, Ahmed Khalid Tawfeek.

The series will be written by the renowned Mohamed Hefzy and Directed by the talented, Amr Salama. Netflix just announced that the series will feature the promising comedian Ahmed Amin, which was a very debatable choice of the cast since the story is suspenseful and different from the comedy roles that Amin usually performs. However, people are looking forward to the opportunity that the series, and the different role that will be played by Ahmed Amin.

According to sources, Heba Magdy was supposed to be on board too as the main female character with Amin. However, things didn’t go as planned and rumors have stated that the role was taken from her due to the fact that she didn’t act according to the confidentiality agreement and announced that she’s in the series before Netflix have.
