Dubai once again helped make our dreams come true. By creating the first ever Bollywood theme park, Dubai has successfully managed to bring together all the wonders of Bollywood in one place and create a heaven for the billions of Bollywood fanatics worldwide.
In the above video released this week, General Manager Thomas Jellum takes us on a tour through the park, which is currently under construction and scheduled to open in October 2016. The park takes up one-sixth of the Dubai Parks and Resort, which is also home to Legoland.
The park is expected to host many Bollywood-inspired attractions, ranging from the Desi Emporium — one of the biggest Bollywood-inspired shops in the world, where you can take a part of Bollywood home with you — to rides like “Don the Chase” — inspired by the hit movie Don — or for cricket lovers: the Lagoon, which is based on… you guessed it — the movie Lagoon. And if you want to be the star of your own Bollywood film, your dream can come true at the Bollywood film studio.
Of course Bollywood isn’t Bollywood without music and dance, which is why there are many performance spaces (one of which is even a train!), not to mention the Rajmahal, which combines the twin arts of Broadway and Bollywood — what could be better? Four shows take place daily, plus an evening show, making it unlikely that you will ever be bored.
As soon as you find yourself in need of energy, head to the “Mughal-e-Azam” and eat like royalty from many Desi-inspired restaurants for you to choose from.
