Save Beirut: the Hospitality Initiative Helping the City Rise From the Ashes Once More
It’s always nice to see people and organizations coming together to support a cause. Save Beirut is a new Dubai-based hospitality initiative where fast-food outlets, restaurants, and delivery platforms will donate a percentage of their profits, ranging from 30% to 100%, to Beirut-based charities through the Emirates Red Crescent. In association with the Lebanese Business Council in Dubai, these restaurants will offer their visitors the chance to add their own donations as well.
More than raising awareness for the cause and collecting donations, the initiative will also celebrate Lebanese food and culture, and dedicate the 30th of August to Lebanon and its people. Under the slogan ‘Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much’, nearly 55 restaurants will come together to raise AED 10 million.
Save Beirut is one of many initiatives that are committed to raising awareness on the importance of aiding those who are suffering from the tragic Beirut explosion which took place at the beginning of August, left hundreds dead, and thousands displaced.
