For the Record: Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars Get Funky

  • Kanye usually makes headlines for all the wrong reasons, so sometimes it’s easy to forget that he’s actually talented. Just as the world is going Hunger Games-mad, he’s reworked Lorde‘s “Yellow Flicker Beat” from the soundtrack, minimizing the percussion and adding piano for dramatic “Flicker”:

  • Fergie’s comeback single “L.A. Love” may not be her best offering, but she’s pulling all the stops for the accompanying video, which features cameos by L.A. royalty including Kelly Osbourne, DJ Mustard, Chelsea Handler and Hilary Swank:

  • And Taylor Swift continues acknowledging her reputation and public criticism of her love life by going full-on mental in her new “Blank Space” video…  And yes, she really does stand on a horse:

  • Just as we were starting to wonder where Bruno Mars had gone off to, he sweeps back in with Mark Ronson to present us with brand new and aptly-named track “Uptown Funk”:

  • The track will be included on Ronson‘s upcoming album, which is due in January, and will include a collaboration with Mike Snow‘s Andrew Wyatt and this one with Tame Impala‘s Kevin Parker:
