Paula Hainey, the Dubai-Based Photographer Supporting Other Expats With Her Art

Some of the beautiful things we got out of this pandemic are the humanitarian initiatives that were launched to make other people’s lives better, in different ways.

Paula Hainey is a Dubai-based photographer who decided to do her bit to make people around her feel good. Being an expat herself, she understood the struggle that other Dubai expats were facing due to the financial burden and the unemployment caused by COVID-19. When she heard of many expat families leaving Dubai for good because they can’t cope with their financial struggles anymore, she thought of giving them a good memory to leave with by offering them free family portraits.

Following this announcement, she received over 100 enquiries and requests. She officially began her initiative yesterday, and plans to photograph four families per day, from 6.30am to 8.30pm.

Hainey is a maternity, newborn, and lifestyle specialist and photographer. And from all the photos we’ve seen on her website and Instagram account, we can’t wait to see the outcome of this beautiful initiative she just began!
