New Zealand Prime Minister Bill English just announced that they’re considering to raise the security against flights from Muslim countries in the Middle east.

The new rules would follow similar measures taken last month by USA, UK, and Australia. Minister of Transport told Reuters in an interview in Dubai that “The New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority is assessing the evidence to determine what is appropriate.”

He added: “the additional security measures would affect flights from areas that were majority Muslim, including Dubai, Doha, and Qatar which fly directly to New Zealand, and the airlines affected would be Emirates and Qatar Airways”.
