Mido Sparks Soccer Stir: Mo Salah Rumored To Join Saudi Club

A major stir is happening in the soccer world, as former Egyptian and Tottenham striker Ahmed Hossam “Mido” shared on Twitter that Mo Salah signed contracts to join a Saudi club in the summer.

There are no further details beyond what he posted on Twitter, so many questions pop up, like what club will he be joining? Is he merely playing in the Saudi league or actually joining a team?

Rumors of Salah playing in Saudi are nothing new, as last summer, he was heavily pursued by Saudi club Ittihad, which reportedly offered him a £200 million bid. According to the Athletic, Ittihad Jeddah hasn’t lost hope in signing Mohamed Salah.

However, he didn’t end up joining the team in the summer but instead continued to play for Liverpool, with his contract said to continue until 2025. Knowing that neither Salah nor Liverpool shared anything about the Egyptian King joining a Saudi club, Mido’s post cannot be confirmed.

Only time will tell what will be the fate of Egypt’s most prized soccer player.
