Liverpool Claims Victory Against Everton With Mo Salah’s 18th Goal Of The Season

Yesterday, Liverpool secured three points from their Premier League match against neighboring team Everton in what is known to be the “Merseyside derby.” Mo Salah scored the opening goal accumulating a total of 18 goals for this season after five games without a goal. Salah scored in the 36th minute just before the half-time whistle. Everton hit the post and Liverpool instantly took the chance to flee the scene and score successfully because of the Egyptian king.

As for the second goal, Everton’s Alex Iwobi lost possession of the ball during the second half, and three Liverpool players rushed away to give Cody Gakpo his first Liverpool goal in front of Everton supporters.

Currently, ranked ninth in the Premier League, the Reds have been enduring a series of defeats by Brighton, Wolves, and Brentford. With this victory, Salah hopes that this win will be the start of Liverpool’s resurgence after a poor start to the year.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Salah said, “it’s a huge win for us. We had a perfect week to train and the players were so excited as we couldn’t wait for the game to turn everything around and hopefully it was a start.”
