In Pictures: These Strawberry Fields in Egypt’s Beheira Province Are More Like a Red Haven

In Egypt, strawberry season usually runs from beginning of November till the end of March. And Egyptian strawberries are often one of the strongest competitors among other strawberry producers within the global market. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many farmers were worried about this year’s strawberry season and the demand on it, but were later surprised with an unexpectedly increased demand. As much as it’s loved by farmers in the field, it’s a fruit that’s enjoyed by many due to its delicious taste, numerous health benefits, and the diverse ways of eating it (alone, with chocolate, with yoghurt, as a milkshake etc.).
