In Pictures: Check Out the First Arabic Netflix Original Series, Jinn!
We’ve all been super excited since the announcement of the first Arabic Netflix Original series, Jinn! The streaming giant is focusing on producing localized content for each region to cater to their new international market. The first big project for the Arab world will be the supernatural drama series, and although they haven’t announced a release date yet, we know it’s coming out this year!
The series is set in the ancient city of Petra and the modern-day Amman! It follows the story of a girl who accidentally released a Jinn in the form of a teenage boy. They both realize that in the process, she also released ancient darkness that threatens the world.
The series is written by Bassel Ghandour and directed by Mir-Jean Bou Chaaya.
