In Images: Hebrews Celebrate The Jewish New Year in Cairo

This week, Adli’s street in downtown witnessed a celebration of the new Jewish year in Heaven Gate temple. The Head of the Egyptian Jewish community, Magda Haroun, attended the ceremony as well as a number of public figures, including Dr. Mohamed Abul-Ghar and Journalist Amina Shafiq, Writer and Novelist Ashraf Ashraf Ashmawi as well as the Ambassadors of France and Singapore. The worshippers reviewed a rare historical version of the Torah.
