IKEA Furnishes This Married Egyptian Couple’s Apartment for Valentine’s Day
With Egypt’s economy going down the drain and prices skyrocketing, it’s quite difficult to make ends meet. Especially for Ibrahim, a teacher on a limited salary who has been engaged to the love of his life for two years but struggling to furnish his apartment.
Furniture giants, IKEA, have teamed up with Meshwar Organization for Community Development and decided to do the cutest gesture on Valentine’s Day and furnish the entirety of Ibrahim’s apartment. Everyone in Egypt understands the pain and struggle of buying furniture and other house-necessities, if you fail to get them, it could sometimes mean the end of your relationship with your significant other. So it’s quite refreshing to see a big brand such as IKEA to go out of their way and help the young couple stand on their feet and embark on their love journey together.
“IKEA is always keen to play an active role in the community, as we strongly believe of the importance of creating ‘A better everyday life for as many people’. We are so pleased to be able to extend a hand. Valentine’s is a celebration of love and we have decided to celebrate it with Ibrahim and his fiancé,” Adosh Sharma, IKEA Egypt Country Manager, have said.
