Almost half a century ago, the first ever video game came to be, and since then, the gaming culture has only grew. Today, gaming is not simply another pastime, it is a world of its own.

From online to offline gaming styles, the billion-dollar industry has more than 25 new video games produced each day, with a third of the world population identifying as gamers. In our modern world, with the release of state-of-the-art consuls, PCs, and smartphones, competitive gaming is turning into a profession.

Egypt has one of the biggest gaming communities in the MENA, and with it comes some of the most talented players in the world. Don’t believe me? Well, head to Maadi and see for yourself at the 2019 ESports Summit.

The second edition of the ESports Summit is the largest event of its kind in Egypt, celebrating video games and promoting professional, competitive gaming culture.

Last year, Gamers Lounge organized the event debut at Down Town’s Greek Campus. The event attracted more than 5,000 gamers from all over Egypt. All in all, it was a success. However, with the second edition, the people at Gamers Lounge want to go even bigger.

The 2019 Gamers Lounge event will not be a one-day event, but a three-day fiesta from the 26th until the 28th of September, featuring games such as League of Legends, Dota, FIFA Tournament, Red Alert, CS:GO, and Medal of Honor Allied Assault.

Gamers Lounge is the first official Esports organization in Egypt, with experienced members who want to develop gaming in the Middle East region.

With a prize pool of EGP 300,000, the highly-anticipated event will begin tomorrow at 10 AM at The Field in Maadi, and we cannot wait to be there at the midst of the gaming community.

WE SAID THIS: Don’t miss: One On One With The Founder Of Gamers Lounge, Hashem Alborno!
