Let’s face the ugly truth: For some reason, we always seem to pay higher rates for Uber and Careem this month. Many suspect that it might be due to the deficiency in number of drivers as they quit after being harassed and threatened by white taxis. Others claim that it is only a normal consequence of the immense support and attention they received during the protests.

Either way, since we don’t want to spend all our salaries on Uber or Careem rides and we vowed to never come near a white taxi again, maybe microbuses will be our next saviour — you never know when you’ll need one.
