Egypt’s Hedaya Malak Still Has A Chance To Win The Bronze

Egypt’s Hedaya Malak loses to Eva Calvo Gomez of Spain by golden score (1-0) in the 57 kg Taekwondo semi-final. However, Hedaya will be competing for the bronze medal at 2 AM Cairo time.

 

Hedaya made Egypt’s heart thump so hard, she was so close to winning the golden medal. Before the match against Spain, she beat the reigning Taekwondo World Champion, Mayu Hamada of Japan, in the quarter-finals by a score of (3-0). Earlier she won against Doris Patino of Columbia by a score of (13-0).
