“There’s no such thing as a free lunch,” or so the saying goes. But actually, there is one and it’s here in Dubai!

Nom Nom Asia, a small Chinese restaurant in Al Barsha, has decided to do what most restaurants wouldn’t dare to do and serve free meals for the city’s unemployed. A signboard outside the restaurant says that the meal is free but people who don’t want charity and wish to pay are welcome to do so.

Vegetarian? No problem ! At Nom Nom you get the complete liberty to choose the toppings ? Now how cool is that ?

“These things are done from our hearts. They are not meant for telling people and getting any mileage out of it. The sheer joy of being human can be enjoyed by giving, and that’s my belief,” Sanjay Mohan, co-owner of Nom Nom Asia, has said.

According to Khaleeji Times, the owners of Nom Nom Asia do not plan on removing the sign any time soon. “I cannot start a job center, but having a restaurant, at least I can give free food to these people. So far, I have no intention of removing the sign on the wall. It will be there for as long as I can manage.”

WE SAID THIS: The world needs more people like these guys!
