DIY: Lemon Sugar Scrub
As much as we love winter, we kinda hate how we sometimes end up having incredibly dry hands and feet. Who ever told you there’s nothing you can do about it and you’re just gonna have to wait til winter is over is wrong!
We can’t change the weather but we can definitely change how we feel about ourselves.
This is extremely simple and won’t take you more than 10 minutes to do.
What you’ll need:
- 2 ½ cups of granulated sugar; divided
- ¼ cup coconut oil (almond oil is also cool)
- 1 lemon
- Jar
Here’s what you need to do:
- Put the sugar in a large bowl and set aside. Measure ¼ cup of coconut oil and place it in a microwave safe bowl, heat for 30 second only or until the oil is completely melted.
- Pour the oil over the sugar and mix.
- Using a zest or a small grater, zest the rind of the lemon. Then cut zested lemon in half. Using a juicer, juice the lemon; make sure to remove all the lemon seeds, and combine with the mixture.
That’s it! You’re done.
P.S If the sugar scrub is still too wet add up to ½ a cup of sugar until desired consistency is reached.
WE SAID THIS: Who said you can’t have the perfect skin all year round?
