CAPMAS: Egypt’s Unemployment Rate Declines To 9.9% In The 2nd Quarter of 2018

On Wednesday, state statistics agency CAPMAS revealed that Egypt’s unemployment rate dropped to 9.9% in the second quarter of 2018 with the number of unemployed being 2.9 million. The rates are actually down from 11.98% during the same period last year.

However, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics estimated the unemployment rate at 10.6% during the first quarter of 2018. Hence, these numbers indicate that the rate has been falling steadily in recent months due to the Egyptian government’s program of economic reforms.

WE SAID THIS: Yes, It’s still a weak dropping rate but at least it’s dropping.
