Cairo and Antarctica Literally Had the Same Temperature

When we think of the Antarctica, we think of avalanches, never-ending whiteness and body-numbing temperature. Guess what, according to Mental Floss, somehow the extremely hot Cairo managed to compete with the south pole.
Reuters announced that Antarctica hit a record high temperature at 63.5°F on March 1., which also happened to be the same temperature in Cairo. Antarctica’s record temperature was recorded at an Argentine research base, which sits at the northern tip of the continent’s peninsula.
