By Salma Maher

A car caught on fire this morning, just below the 6th of October bridge near Al Dokki, the casualties include four nearby vehicles that failed to escape the fire. At press time, the total of nine people were injured, and no deaths were reported, according to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, Khaled Megahed.

The cause of the incident remains unknown, although the initial inspection of the vehicle led us to believe that it was a short circuit in the gasoline tank that eventually set the car on fire.

Megahed’s statement also informed us that the victims are stable and have been distributed among Al Agouza Hospital, Al Salam Hospital, and Al Qasr Al Ainy.

WE SAID THIS: Cars are now being directed to Abd El-Moneim Riad and away from Al Batal Ahmed Abd El-Aziz, as the investigations are still in process.
