Beheira Doctor Suspended for Taking a Selfie During Surgery

Selfies are an actual thing, yes, we can all admit that. One can not let a special date or a gathering pass without a lovely selfie. But careful where -and when- you take your next selfie, for it might cause you deep trouble, like this doctor from Beheira over here.

The Egyptian Administrative Prosecution Authority suspended the doctor for taking a selfie of himself, his colleague, and a female patient during a surgery. The selfie caused outrage on social media, with everyone accusing the doctor of invading the privacy of his patient.

WE SAID THIS: This act was more than just unethical, it was a serious legal violation as you’re not supposed to capture a photo of someone under the effect of anesthesia. People are blaming the doctor and state-run hospitals for insufficiency and negligence.
