Bahrain’s GDP Increases by 3.6% in the Third Quarter of 2017
According to a report by The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), Bahrain witnessed an annual real GDP growth rate of 3.6% and nominal GDP annual growth rate of 6.9% during the third quarter (Q3) of 2017 compared to the same period the previous year.
Bahrain’s economy has witnessed a growth due to infrastructure’s investments increase and the financial stability of the Kingdom. These positive indicators reflect government’s efforts to enhance the national economy which faces challenges at the local, regional, and international levels.
The report clarified that the results of the third quarter of 2017, compared to the second quarter of the same year, indicates that there’s an economic increased by 1.6% in constant prices and by 2.2% in current prices.
