All You Need to Know About Sheikha Latifa’s Ramadan Donation

As the holy month of Ramadan is fast approaching, the daughter of his H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashed Al-Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, H.H. Sheikha Latifa, will make a donation that will benefit about 247,710 people from different Middle Eastern countries.

Sheikha Latifa will also fund the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) project. The ERC is launching an iftar project that is going to benefit seven Arab, as well as African, countries. The project will begin when Ramadan starts, and it will benefit people from Yemen, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, as well as Egypt, Chad, and Mali.

Sheikha Latifa’s donation is going to also support the ERC’s activities during the Year of Tolerance, assisting vulnerable people from countries that are facing all kinds of humanitarian challenges.

The ERC Secretary-General praised Sheikha Latifa’s donation and added that the 90,000 people from Aden, Hadarmout, as well as the Red Sea Coast,  are massively benefiting from all the ERC activities in Yemen. In addition to 38,330 people in Sudan, 9,680 people in Syria, 23,000 in Somalia, 57,500 in Egypt, 15,770  in Chad, and finally, 11,250 people in Mali.
