A Special Recap Of The First Ever Dubai Fashion Week

Previously known as Arab Fashion Week, kicking off under a new name is Dubai Fashion Week, a 5-day catwalk extravaganza that will see the likes of the region and international top talents coming together to show off the latest designs in the world of fashion. Kicking off on March 10 at Dubai Design District, the first two days were all about innovative creations. The designs were super eclectic with Dubai-based BHYPE showcasing its latest in vintage street fashion while Amato slayed the runaway in shimmering dresses adorned in crystals with the models akin to metallic goddesses.

Womenswear was all the hype on the third and fourth days with renowned design houses showing off their latest including high-end Dubai fashion label BLSSD and Dubai-based luxury brand Lili Blanc. It was also great to see Lebanese designer Hussein Bazaza presenting his latest collection marked by vibrant colors and unexpected patterns at the pivotal event. Some of his top designs included a dusty hooded pink dress and a textured weave coat. With the lineup being quite impressive during the past four days, we cannot wait to see what day five will have in store.
