From concerts to festivals, the new year in Abu Dhabi is looking to be jam packed with exciting events throughout the month of January. To help get you pumped, we’ve rounded up the biggest events happening next month:
Mariah Carey’s Electrifying Performance
In January, the first ever Saadiyat Nights event is taking place, known as a three-month music festival that will see the biggest musical stars performing at Saadiyat Island. Kick starting the festival is the legendary diva and superstar Mariah Carey who will grace the stage on January 6. Expect her massive hits including Hero and Always Be My Baby.
Saadiyat Beach’s Relaxing Wellness Festival
For five whole days, starting from January 10, Saadiyat Island, known for its white sands and picturesque turquoise waters, will become a wellness hub. The exciting festival will introduce tailored wellness programs with international figures like Sadhguru delivering sessions.
Abu Dhabi’s Thrilling Sail Grand Prix
The Sail Grand Prix is going to kick off 2024 in Abu Dhabi in style as F50 racing boats will take over Abu Dhabi’s waterfront with the best and bravest teams battling it out on the iconic Mina Zayed. Witness the series of races on January 13 and 14.
Broadway Musical Hamilton’s Major Debut
One of the most groundbreaking musicals featuring a unique blend of hip hop, R&B, pop and soul is bringing the story of the American founding father Alexander Hamilton all the way to Abu Dhabi. Making its debut in the Middle East, Hamilton is set to kick off at the Etihad arena from January 17.
Al Hosn Festival Emirati Heritage Celebration
Shining a major spotlight on Emirati heritage is Al Hosn Festival that will be held at Al Hosn, home to the city’s most prized historical landmark, Qasr Al Hosn. From January 19 to 28, visitors will get to immerse themselves in the traditions of the Emirati community including the food, dress, customs, performances and much more.
Andrea Boceli’s Majestic Concert
World renowned Italian tenor Andrea Boceli is retuning to Abu Dhabi for the first time since 2022, bringing with him his majestic voice and a special performance of the classical artist’s most iconic songs, including Time To Say Goodbye and Vivo Por Lei. He will be gracing Saadiyat Island on January 27.
