No he’s not your local neighborhood bully, or that hot guy you met at Tamarai! Zad happens to be the newest super market chain to launch in Egypt completely and utterly fueled by the Muslim Brotherhood. Hurray!!

The new supermarket chain is mainly owned and ran by Khairat El Shater’s son, Saad El Shater. Their aim, is to compete with giants like Carrefour, Hyper One, Spinny’s, Metro, etc…

You would think we had enough supermarkets in Egypt, but El Shater believes that there is still plenty more room for investment and opportunities to provide jobs and reasonable priced goods for the market.

Looks like the dawn of a new age and investors.

We Said This: It’s rumored that this chain and a bulk of the investment originated from Turkey.
