Skrillex Goes Disney

As word got by of a joint venture between breakthrough artist Skrillex and media moguls ‘Disney’ we naturally had to get down on the scoop. Turns out, during Comic-Con, it was announced that in Disney’s new animated movie ‘Wreck it Ralph” based on a nine-foot tall arcade game villain trying to show the world his good side starring voices of James Franco, Selena Gomes and Vanessa Hudgens, that Skrillex would be the front man of the soundtrack.

Although this isn’t the first time we’ve seen an artist out of the electronic music industry write a score for a blockbuster movie. We’ve also seen Daft Punk score Disney’s ‘Tron” just last year as well as BT in “Cars” & “The fast & the furious”.

However, given Skrillex’s young age and recent breakthrough into the scene it will be interesting to see whether his wobbles and drops fit neatly into an animated children’s movie.
