4 Months, 12 Epic Performances: What’s Coming Up in the Arab World
With the summer season closing its doors, many of you may be wondering how to fill the void left by the summer. Well, there is a way to do so. For the next couple of months, global and regional stars will be taking over the stage of the Arab world for a series of exciting concerts, performances, and festivals.
Let us take a look at the coolest ones announced so far:
Dubai
1. Enrique Iglesias: September 13
First, he got everyone dancing back during the new year in 2022 when he performed at Nammos Dubai, an exclusive beach club.
Now, he is making a comeback and set to perform a full concert at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena. Get ready to have your heart melting as the heartthrob mixes between English and Spanish as he performs his most popular songs including Balilando and Bailamos.

2. Angham: September 27
Arguably among the Arab world’s top female vocalists with an impressive vocal range, seasoned Egyptian singer and actress Angham is the ultimate performer.
Since 16, for three decades, she’s been slaying the stage with her women empowerment ballads and breakup anthems. Now, she is taking the stage at the Dubai Coca-Cola Arena to perform her biggest UAE show yet!

3. Elissa & Tamer Ashour: October 11
Just as with Angham, Lebanese pop star Elissa is the ultimate Arab female powerhouse who knows how to demolish her past lovers with powerful heartbreak anthems.
She will take the stage at Dubai’s Coca-Cola arena this October to perform hits from her new album, Ana Sekketen, as well as fan favorites like Betmoun. She will be joined by an equally talented ballad master, Egyptian singer Tamer Ashour, for an unforgettable performance.

Abu Dhabi
4. Backstreet Boys: October 23
You know it, we love it. Everything from “I Want It That Way” to “Everybody” will be heard once again on the stage of Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena as the 90s band, the Backstreet Boys, are back at it again. For two hours, you’ll get to hear their biggest hits, including songs from their last 2019 release, DNA.

5. Maroon 5: December 6
It is time to get your heart pumping to one of the coolest pop bands out there, Maroon 5. They have been a mainstay at the top of the charts with hits like Moves Like Jagger and This Love. Now, the pop band, which also dabbles in funk and rock, is setting the stage ablaze at Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Park.

6. Eminem: December 7
Will the real Slim Shady please stand up? Guess what, yes, he can! The legendary rapper Eminem is bringing his A-game all the way to Abu Dhabi as the third headline act of the four-night Abu Dhabi F1 after-race concert series. His performance took place just after he released his latest album, “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace)”.

Saudi Arabia
7. AZIMUTH: September 19 to 21
With that particular time being the Saudi National Day weekend, the Kingdom decided to throw the biggest celebration possible by bringing back the MDLBEAST-backed event AZIMUTH to the ancient town of AlUla.
It will be a sunset-to-sunrise concert series under the theme “Until the Sun Comes Up,” with an impressive lineup of international performances, including Jamie Jones and James The Blaze.

8. AlUla Skies ft. Amr Diab: September 27
Known as the “father of Mediterranean music,” the legend himself, Amr Diab, is set to make the ultimate appearance as the first confirmed performer for the AlUla Skies festival. So far, the gig’s location has not yet been revealed, but keep your eye out for the space.

9. MDLBEAST Soundstorm: December 12-14
Coming back for another round, all the way at Riyadh’s Banban, is none other than MDLBEAST Sandstorm. The event promises to bring the loudest weekend, especially as this year will include some major acts, including legendary rapper Eminem and rock bands Muse and 30 Seconds To Mars.

Morocco
10. Sarab Festival: September 27-28
Taking place at Marrakech’s Agafay Desert, 42 DJs from the international music scene and Morocco will come together for the ultimate electronic music night. The two-day Sarab Festival will take over three stages with acts including Armyé, Agents of Time, and Dessouki. Are you ready for the ultimate party?
11. Moga Essaouira: October 2-6
Morocco won’t just treat its electronic music fans to the Sarab festival; they’ll also get to experience the Moga Essaouria, a five-day festival that will see a rich lineup of skilled selectors across disco, house, and minimal, with sets from renowned DJs like Hunee, Suze Ijó, Rhadoo, and Ouissam.
12. Awake Festival: November 29-30
Coming back for a third time is a festival that will once again transform the vibrant city of Marrakech into an epicenter of creative expression. Known as the Awake Festival, it promises to be an epic two-day music event.
Taking over the stage will be a fun and exciting lineup that includes Acid Arab, Nicole Moudaber, and Son of Son.
