Milan Fashion Week Men’s FW26 was packed with global talent — but when it comes to the official runway collections, only one Middle Eastern brand took the stage: QASIMI. London-based with roots in the UAE, the label, led by Sheikha Hoor Al Qasimi, brought a collection that’s as thoughtful as it is stylish.

Memory in Motion

Titled “Memory and the House of Remembrance,” QASIMI’s FW26 collection turns clothing into a vessel for personal history. Layers of fabric, deconstructed tailoring, and subtle signs of repair all echo how our past shapes us.

As Hoor Al-Qasimi said backstage: “Where are you from? What do you take with you? How many layers are in your history?” The collection blends casualwear and tailored pieces, from rust-colored zip-up blazers with built-in capes to textured wool jackets with scarves doubling as head coverings. Both men and women share the stage, highlighting the brand’s fluid, inclusive approach.

Texture, Craft, and Collaboration

Texture and craft take center stage in QASIMI’s work. For the second consecutive season, the brand collaborated with Lebanese artist Dala Nasser, translating her layered, natural-dye techniques into fabrics marked by time and process.

Frayed knits, rubbed denim, and raw edges make every garment feel like a living record. Earthy tones — clay, slate, burnt apple, and muddy brown — form the foundation, while modular jackets, flowing trousers, and protective capes add movement and shelter.

Why It Matters

Being the only Middle Eastern brand presenting a full collection at Milan gives QASIMI a unique perspective. The label fuses heritage, craft, and culture into menswear that feels lived-in, emotional, and thoughtful — fashion that tells a story rather than shouting one.

Quiet, Layered, Human

QASIMI’s FW26 proves that menswear can be reflective and personal. Each piece carries traces of memory, repair, and protection — garments designed to live with you, not just be seen. In a city full of spectacle, QASIMI quietly reminds us that sometimes the most powerful stories are the ones woven into fabric.

Malak cannot seem to get enough of Literature - so much so that she has pursued it in both her BA and MA, and the love affair is still going strong. Aside from her love for words, humans generally fascinate her. She spends a lot of her time analyzing the minds of people around her and watching criminal minds. She is still fairly new in adulthood, and until now, nothing has made sense in life but chocolate.
