Ramascoops: Pepsi Plays on Nostalgia

It sure feels like Pepsi has hit a home run this Ramadan with their latest campaign, after two years of disastrous ads (remember the Donia Samir Ghanem catastrophe?) The soft drink giant has played on everyone’s heart strings, by taking you a walk down memory lane and reminding Egyptians how important family is.

The ad feels very reminicsent of Charles Dicken’s “A Christmas Carol” with the ghosts of Christmas past come and visit the non-belieiver main character, showing him the way and reminding him what love, family and compassion means.

Charles Dicken’s inspired or not, this ad puts the other so called soft drinks companies to shame this season.
