Only 21 Christian Middle Eastern Refugees Granted Asylum In The US in 2018!

Since the ISIS terrorist threat erupted in the Middle East, many Christians have been seeking safer homes in the European countries or the USA. However, figures indicate that the American administration has taken in only 21 Christian refugees, from Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Saudi Arabia, so far this year.
The Trump administration has been strongly criticized compared to the Obama’s over the refugees’ matter. As the Refugee Processing Center database indicates that the Obama administration resettled a total of 1,315 Christians from the Middle East in the first six months of 2016.
Moreover, reports show that when Donald Trump entered the White House in 2017, the share of Muslim refugees declined in comparison to the Christians. “We feel the national slowdown in refugee resettlement is affecting refugees of all faiths. Muslim refugees are obviously disproportionately being shut out. So we find that very troubling,” Kathryn Freeman, Director of the Texas Baptist Christian Life Commission, said.
