Zaywa Cinema to Hold a Stanley Kubrick Retrospective This September

Zaywa cinema is back with another highly anticipated retrospective, and this time it’s for famed legendary film director Stanley Kubrick.

Last year, Zawya cinema helped us through the lock-down and movie drought by holding a retrospective for another celebrated director, Michael Hanke. Following the success of Hanke’s retrospective, this year, they’re coming back with another tour de force edition showing hallmark movies and promising a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The retrospective kicks off in September and features seven films from Kubrick’s extensive filmography. The list includes Paths of Glory (1957), Lolita (1961), Dr. Strangelove (1964), 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), Barry Lyndon (1975), The Shining (1980) and Full Metal Jacket (1987).

Kubrick’s films are considered revolutionary and as defining pieces of cinema. Zaywa cinema extends an invitation to everyone to come explore and re-experience his films on the big screen. From last year’s retrospective experience, we guarantee it to certainly be worthwhile.

For more information on exact showtimes, bookings, and insights into their normal weekly schedules, keep a close eye on Zawya’s social platforms.
