You Can Now Relive Jack and Rose’s Journey on the Titanic in Abu Dhabi
Titanic is the second-highest grossing movie of all time; millions of people around the world are obsessed with the romance-disaster film. Most of those people would love to live inside the world of this movie, probably to relive the iconic love story between Jack and Rose. I, like most food junkies, would love to live a different part of that movie; the epic last dinner (or supper) that was served on the Titanic!
Fortunately, there is actually a way to live the luxury of Titanic’s last dinner on the 14th and 15th of April. Bord Eau, one of the most-revered restaurants in Abu Dhabi that’s nestled within the main lobby of Shangri-La Hotel, will revive the legacy of fine-dining by presenting a lavish 10-course menu originally served to the first-class passengers aboard the Titanic on 14 April 1912.
Bord Eau’s opulent dining room will be transformed into the Titanic’s first-class cabin; with two-Michelin-star Executive Chef Mansour Memarian, creating a symphony of flavors that will transport diners back to the Edwardian era of haute cuisine. Guests will be entertained by jazz music throughout the night.
Mr. Thomas Guss, the hotel’s general manager, stated: “This year, Bord Eau is set to steer patrons towards an exclusive experience. The last dinner on the Titanic epitomizes the finest gastronomic journey worth telling, where guests’ experiences are not limited by their imagination. The savoir-faire, sumptuous food and lively entertainment – coupled with a touch of history – are elegantly intertwined to give an unparalleled dining experience.”
WE SAID THIS: If only Rose wasn’t selfish; they both could have lived happily ever after.
