The fact that the field of e-sports is growing more than ever is not debatable. On the local, regional, and international levels, there are tons of larger than life esports tournaments with prize pools ranging from a small fortune to millions of dollars. Even though the biggest games with the highest prize pools are for games like League of Legends and PubG, the non-condintional love for football makes sure that FIFA as an esport gains enough attention.

The biggest FIFA tournament is the FIFA eWorld Cup, formerly known as the FIFA Interactive World Cup, where players representing different countries come to participate for a big prize pool and the prestigious title.

The Egypt Football Association (EFA) announced yesterday that Egypt will participate in the FIFA eWorld Cup 2020 that will take place in Copenhagen from the 22nd till the 24th of May. The EFA will organize the qualifiers that will determine who’s representing Egypt in the tournament.

Saudi Arabia won the title back in 2015 when Abdulaziz Alshehri won 3-0 against the French Julien Dassonville. It won again in 2018 when Mosaad Aldossary defeated the Belgian player. Mosaad returned in the finals of 2019 but lost to the German Mohammed Harkous.

WE SAID THIS: May all the hours and days spent at the Playstation cafes pay off now!
