“The ministry aims to develop and regulate legislation and laws related to the care of children inside and outside the home, and to design educational programs to ensure the highest levels of care and safety for the child,” said Hessa Bint Eisa Bu Humaid, Minister of Community Development. The minister added that the initiatives will be reviewed on a quarterly basis to be revised when needed.

Some of the main goals of the National Family Policy is facing challenges of marriage while maintaining a cohesive family and providing a healthy environment. This might be the end of the classic working moms struggles where she can’t maintain a career or has to give up on it all together. Paternity leaves are common in Europe and we can’t help but wonder if that is why we usually feel that European dads can handle babies better than Arab ones.

WE SAID THIS: Great news for the UAE!
