UAE is Building a New Tower to Dethrone Burj Khalifa

Already having the world’s tallest tower is apparently not enough, Dubai is building an even taller tower, Dubai Creek Tower, which is set to eclipse the Burj Khalifa.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum was seen today checking the impressive progress of the tower which is designed to be 100 meters taller than Burj Khalifa.

The iconic structure is designed by the Spanish/Swiss Architect Santiago Calatrava Valls and the project is set to be done by 2020. The tower will feature several observation decks with a 360 degrees view of Dubai Creek Harbour and the city.

More than 450 professionals from across the world are working on site of the Dubai Creek Tower, which will house a boutique hotel, glass rotating balconies, and restaurants.

Emaar Properties have described the Dubai Creek Tower as a “monument to the world; whose design was inspired by the lily flower and traditional minarets”.
