Tina Fey, Amy Poehler To Host Golden Globes Again?
Rumor has it that the dynamic funny duo (BFFs) Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are to host The Golden Globes for the second time. It’s not surprising especially after their tremendous success as the hosts of the most-watched Globes ever earlier this year with 19.7 million viewers (17% up from the previous year).
It’s exciting yet there might be a problem. The two stars are extremely busy as Tina Fey recently sold two comedy projects while Amy Poehler remains star and producer of NBC’s Parks and Recreation along with their movie careers. Not to mention that Tina and Amy made it clear during their monologue that they were hoping to be hosting only once. Amy began the show by promising to avoid edgy jokes because, she explained, “as we learned from Ricky Gervais, when you run afoul with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, they ask you to host the Golden Globes two more times.”
Although the hilarious duo only took the stage for 9 minutes for their incredible opening monologue, it was enough to make us hope they would host the upcoming Golden Globes.
