Speak Up: AUC Launches a New Dialog Series to Combat Sexual Harassment

As one of the leading universities in Egypt, The American University in Cairo (AUC) has always been at the forefront of raising awareness on important social issues. It’s also known for supporting national and global efforts in particular as they relate to college campuses, and the matter they’re tackling is one of the most critical and sensitive topics right now, sexual harassment. The AUC is launching the Speak Up Dialog Series “How Can We Combat Harassment And Why Should We Care?”

The university joined forces with other institutions and prominent influencers to create a dialog series designed to raise awareness and advance this important conversation.

The advisory board members are Maya Morsy, The President of Egypt’s National Council for Women, Hisham El Khazindar, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Qalaa Holdings, Christine Arab, UN Women Egypt Country Representative, Hoda ElSadda, Professor of English and Comparative Literature at the Cairo University, Rabab El Mahdi, Associate Professor and Chair of AUC’s Department of Political Science, Omar Samra, Motivational Speaker, and Nadeen Ashraf, AUC Student and founder of Assault Police.
