The Cannes Film Festival took the Arab world by storm this past week, from the Arab-made movies nominated for major awards to the Arab designers whose designs graced the red carpet. Just yesterday, American-actress Sharon Stone hosted the amfAR Gala, wearing a colorful gown by Tony Ward!
Stone rose to fame after starring in the movie Basic Instinct, in the role of Catherine Tramel. She hosted the 27th amfAR Gala, a charity event for raising funds for AIDS research, at the Cannes Film Festival. She was looking as fabulous as ever, wearing a popeline shirt mixed with cut-outs of embroideries from Ward’s couture fall-winter 2021/22 collection.
That’s not the first appearance the Lebanese-Italian fashion designer makes during this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Fatima Almomen, Leonie Hanne and Karen Wazen all graced the festival’s carpet in his designs. His innovative designs and interesting use of cuts and colors made him very popular among international stars.
In an Instagram post on the brand’s account, Stone is seen walking down the stage in her Tony Ward gown.
