Sharjah’s Eco-Luxury Moon Retreat Is the City’s Latest Desert Glamping Site

To allow tourists to connect with the UAE’s heritage and nature, Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), announced that its fourth eco-luxury retreat, Moon Retreat, will soon be open.

Located within Mleiha region, and home to ancient tombs, fossils, artifacts and pre-Islamic ports, the area is one of the top archaeological sites in the emirate and the entire country. With 10 single-bed domes, four family tents, and two single-bed tents, you’ll enjoy the most comfortable and one-of-a-kind experiences, especially since most of the domes and tents will have private pools. In addition, Moon Retreat will not disrupt the area’s natural pre-historic landscape.

As the fourth eco-luxury retreat to join Shurooq’s Sharjah Collection brand, this family-friendly Moon Retreat will welcome overnight guests, including desert adventurers and glampers from the UAE and abroad. It is expected to begin in accommodating its guests during the first few months of 2021. During that time, the UAE’s weather is usually perfect for enjoying outdoor activities, and embracing the beauty of nature and nature-inspired experiences, especially from what the archaeologically rich Mleiha region has to offer.
