Saadiyat Cultural District Set to Open in 2025 with Global Influencers Leading the Way

Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Cultural District is creating waves globally with its recent campaign, featuring over 70 world influencers. The campaign aims to celebrate the transformative power of culture. Leading the charge is none other than Oprah Winfrey.

The campaign video, “Be Moved in a Thousand Ways,” is truly amazing. It shows how culture can bring people together, featuring heartfelt messages from famous influencers around the world, such as Idris Elba OBE, Will.i.am, Lang Lang, and Maria Sharapova.

The campaign announced that the Saadiyat Cultural District is on track for completion by the end of 2025. This hub will soon host the highest concentration of cultural institutions in the world.

Current Status of the Project

The Saadiyat Cultural District is rapidly taking shape on the western side of Saadiyat Island, near Abu Dhabi’s city center. Despite ongoing construction, the district is already gaining global admiration.

The recent announcement by the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi (DCT) confirms that the district will be completed in 2025 and that all major cultural institutions will be operational by then.

Zayed National Museum

The Zayed National Museum will serve as the national museum of the United Arab Emirates. It will feature a collection of art and artefacts from ancient and contemporary cultures of the UAE and the region.

The museum honors the legacy of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE’s founding father, showing his belief in the role of knowledge and culture in building a nation.

Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi

The Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi is dedicated to enhancing knowledge of the history of the natural world. It aims to increase interest in the planet’s extraordinary evolution. The museum and its research institute will focus on providing immersive experiences that highlight our natural history.

Guggenheim Abu Dhabi
