Rod Stewart Re-Enacts Beheading Daesh Video in Abu Dhabi Desert

Sir Rod Stewart could be in breach of strict cyber-crime laws after he was filmed seeming to mimic Daesh in the Abu Dhabi desert.

In the bizarre footage, the 72-year-old can be seen appearing to make a cutting gesture across a friend’s neck as he kneels on the sand.

Legal experts have warned the United Arab Emirates’ laws forbid people from inciting religious contempt, discrimination or hatred. Radha Stirling, legal consultant for Detained in Dubai, said: “I can cite precedents where they have put people in prison for lesser crimes than this.”

The families of killer Jihadi John’s victims have branded the singer “disgusting”. The singer has offered his “deepest apologies”, but said his actions in the Abu Dhabi desert were “misinterpreted”.
