Rejoice Egyptian Fashion Designers, The Egyptian Fashion And Design Council Has Finally Come To Life!
Aiming to develop, support and promote Egyptian talent locally and globally, the Egyptian Fashion And Design Council (EFDC) is finally coming to life. The five founding members are Abdelmalek Shamsi, Commercial Director at Shamsi for Trading & Agencies; Fatma Ghaly, Managing Director at Azza Fahmy Jewellery; Marie-Louis Bishara, Designer, Vice Chairwoman, and partner at Bishara for Fashion; Paul Antaki, CEO Premium International for Credit Services; and Susan Sabet, Publisher and Editor of Pashion magazine.
With an incredible group of Egypt’s elite in fashion, production, and marketing industry, this is a dream come true for all designers in Egypt. The EFDC mission includes support initiatives for students, emerging and established designers and industry professionals, and leaders, who aim to develop and showcase Egyptian designers and brands locally and internationally, promote export and tourism through preserving and nurturing the Egyptian heritage in design, fashion, and craft.
