Missing Your Daily Workout Routine? Check out Amr Reda’s Guide to Your Ideal Home Gym
There are so many reasons you might be missing your daily workout at the gym, whether it’s quarantine, laziness, or even a low budget. And none of these are valid reasons for you to skip being fit. Fortunately, you can stay in shape while you’re at home if you spend your time wisely.
To help you out, we spoke to Amr Reda, a certified nutritionist and a kids’ nutrition specialist, who has been in the fitness industry for over 20 years. Reda gave us a few insights on how we can create our own home gym and maintain a home workout routine.
If you’re a beginner, and you haven’t been working out recently, maybe it’s time you start. All you’ll need is a pair of dumbbells, an elastic band, a skipping rope, and a kettlebell. For advanced athletes who have already been training, Reda suggested that you can add TRX, for more bodyweight exercises.
Reda recommended 3 to 4 rounds of this entire list while spending 45 seconds on each.
- Bodyweight squats
- Alternate lunges
- Jumping jacks
- Mountain climbers
- High knees
- Butt kicks
- Knee push-ups
Remember, being a beginner is not an excuse to skip a few exercises, and staying at home is not an excuse for us to be unhealthy.
