Major Coporation Announces “INKOMPASS” Student Internship
Philip Morris Misr (PMM), the Egypt affiliate of the world renowned multinational Philip Morris International (PMI), is launching its global internship program INKOMPASS for second year university students in Egypt this summer. The internship, which is completed in two cycles and is amenable according to participants’ personal goals, allows students a unique insight into a corporate environment, as well as the opportunity to unleash their potential through putting their capabilities to work within a fast paced business context.
One of the most significant experiences students are seldom exposed to in college is identifying a well-suited niche within a company – discovering how they fit, and where their skills would be best utilized. Through the INKOMPASS internship program, students can test the waters in various departments and determine which skills they want to hone and develop. They will have the chance to work on real business projects and also network with industry leaders.
How does the internship work? INKOMPASS is a two-cycle program. The first cycle gives participants an opportunity to work with a personal coach on business projects with focus on cross functional learning. If the participant performs well, they are invited to the second cycle the following year, where they delve deeper into more challenging tailored business projects based on the skills they want to continue developing. This will expose them to the particular challenges and insights within their department of choice.
Aside from the invaluable experience and career preparation, participants who are successful in the program may receive a job offer from one of Philip Morris International subsidiaries even before graduation.
