#LunchForLebanon: Online Delivery App ‘Talabat’ Launches Initiative in Support of Beirut
One of the most beautiful places on earth, Lebanon, has been experiencing a series of devastating crises ever since late 2019, from wildfires and pandemics to political unrest and economic collapse, and finally the Beirut explosion. Businesses, individuals, and organizations are doing their best to raise awareness and mobilize support to help Lebanon.
The initiative we’re highlighting today is #LunchForLebanon, led by MENA’s leading food and grocery delivery platform, Talabat. The company will be donating all Talabat’s order profits generated between 12-4 PM on Wednesday the 12th of August to Lebanon.
“I think we have all been affected by the tragedy which unfolded in Beirut, and the outpouring of support from the region has been a testament to that. Many of our employees, customers, and partners are Lebanese and are heavily affected by the situation in Beirut, and our hearts and thoughts are with them and their families. We, not only as Talabat but as individuals, want to make sure that we’re doing everything we can to help,” said Tomaso Rodriguez, Chief Executive Officer of Talabat.
