Jubail Bistro: Heavenly Lebanese Comfort Food in Sheikh Zayed
We’re living in a time when Lebanese restaurants are taking Egypt by storm and yet it’s always hard to find a good one. However, the skies seem to have answered our call when we bumped into Jubail Bistro.
Located in Sheikh Zayed’s Capital Business Park, Jubail offers home-cooked Lebanese comfort food. From mahshi to kubeibah, manouche to sambousek, Jubail definitely has it all!
Jubail has a very quiet, cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. We were very impressed by the décor of the place, with its beautiful Arabic calligraphy on the walls and windows, beautiful vintage-looking wall paintings and lamps hanging from the ceiling.
You’re greeted with smiles and a bread basket with dips to enjoy while you go through the menu, which offers a huge selection of Lebanese food.
Jubail has a breakfast menu with foul, falafel, labna and hummus. It also offers hot mezze like batata harra, halloum mashwy and sujuq; fatayer like sambousek, arayes and manoucha with cheese and zaatar; fatta with dajaj and lahma; many salad options including the all-time Lebanese favorites tabbouleh and fattoush, as well as a few others like labneh, yogurt salad and warak’inab.
And there’s a large variety of grilled items, from mix grill to kabab, kofta, shish tawook and even fish fillet and Egypt’s most loved Lebanese food of all time, shawarma, and a few options for desserts, like mhallabieh, konafa and ghazl Beirut.
Jubail also serves a range of hot, cold and iced drinks like tea, latte, fresh juices, smoothies, milkshakes and even frappes to go along with your food as well a diverse menu for shisha with an insane number of options that you can choose from and even mix and match between.
Jubail is definitely a must-visit for all Lebanese food lovers. Everything we tried was very, very good, but we especially loved the warak’inab, tabbouleh, manouche with cheese, mix grill and konafa with cheese for dessert. The two outstandinng dishes we totally recommend though are “Shish Tawook Metafy,” which is shish tawook marinated with lemon, spices and mushroom and “Maqaniq Debs,” which is small pieces of sausage soaked in pomegranate molasses (debs roman).
Also for shisha lovers, the waiter suggested a tropical guava/kiwi/watermelon mix shisha and it was absolutely heavenly.
